Maine Maritime women's cross country team finished third at the Colby Invitational Saturday. Freshman Jessica Faltings highlighted the Mariners with a 19th place finish.

Matt Methot won his first race this season by topping the field of 72 runners at the Colby Invitational Saturday. Methot cruised through the five-kilometer course, which is also the site of the next week's State of Maine Championship, in 28:46.

Maine Maritime travels to Waterville Saturday to race in the Colby Invitational.
